Cunnane Forensic Accounting was formed by Bob Cunnane in 2008 after 21 years of service with FBI.  Bob is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Fraud Examiner. He specializes in providing litigation support for attorneys involved in fraud investigations and fraud related litigation, including bankruptcy matters and internal corporate investigations.

As an FBI Special Agent, Bob specialized in the investigation of complex White Collar Crime cases (including the Enron investigation) and worked closely with Assistant United States Attorneys in the prosecution of these cases.  He performed all the forensic accounting work on these cases and testified in numerous Grand Juries and trials regarding his findings.  Bob participated in a wide variety of investigations relating to mortgage fraud, bankruptcy fraud, Ponzi schemes, bank fraud, mail fraud, wire fraud, securities fraud, public corruption, embezzlements, deprivation of honest services fraud, and options backdating.  As a member of the U.S. Government’s Enron Task Force, Bob testified as a summary accounting witness in the bank fraud trial of Kenneth Lay.  Bob also testified as a summary accounting witness in various other high profile trials including the bribery trial of the governor of Guam and the fraud trial of a well known Los Angeles Savings & Loan executive. Bob also has Big Eight accounting experience with PriceWaterhouseCoopers where he was employed in their audit and tax departments for 4 years prior to joining the FBI.

Since retiring from the government, he has been retained as a Consultant and/or Expert Witness in various civil fraud cases, internal corporate investigations, employee embezzlement investigations, and bankruptcy matters. Bob continues to maintain the standards of integrity and confidentiality he adhered to while with the FBI.  He prides himself on client service and is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Although he is located in Southern California, his services are available throughout the country. Bob is also networked with the community of former FBI Agents giving him access to first class worldwide investigative support.
